- I have to disagree with this, particularly that last sentence.
- I have been teaching myself C and when I started
- I had 0 <zero> programming knowledge/experience/background. I've been rather
- successful, and so I see no reason to suggest that someone can't start with
- C, Smalltalk, or any other language. The real _hurdle_ to learning
- anything is sticktoitiveness. If it isn't naturally easy, it just requires
- more effort.
